Braised Pork Chops
With rice and tomato sauce
Cover with melted provolone and
Mozzarella cheeses.
Ingredients:
6 pork chops (½ inch thick
1 cup rice
2 cups water
1-8oz can tomato sauce
2-3 kernels of garlic minced
Pinch of salt
4-5 slices of provolone cheese
3-4 oz of shredded Mozzarella cheese
In large skillet sauté Garlic in a small amount of butter until clear and remove from skillet.
Salt and pepper the pork chops and braised in skillet with butter until lightly browned and removed chops from skillet. Pour in the 2 cups of water and deglaze the skillet then place the rice mixture into the skillet and cook the rice until almost done.
At this point add the pork chops and garlic back into the mixture and press done. Lower the heat and add the tomato sauce on top and mix with the rice (some on top and some on the bottom of the chops). Cover this with the cheese slices and cover with lid and cook for another 20 minutes. Remove from heat and eat!!!!!!!!
